Customs training and customs compliance courses
Practical SARS customs training for South African importers, exporters, clearing agents and compliance teams — from customs essentials to disputes, penalties and management. Live online or in-house.
In short
Logtrain’s customs training teaches South African teams how to comply with SARS customs requirements. There are five customs courses: Customs Compliance Essentials, Customs Compliance II (disputes and penalties), Customs III for Management, SAD 500 & VOCs and Bond & Rebate Stores. All run live online in half-day sessions or in-house for your team.
Why customs compliance training matters
Customs compliance is where trade costs are won or lost. A wrong declaration can mean goods held at the port, a voucher of correction, an underpayment of duty or a penalty from SARS. Over time, a poor compliance record also brings more inspections and slower clearance for every shipment.
Our customs courses give teams a working understanding of how South African customs operates: declarations and supporting documents, registration and accreditation with SARS, Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) principles and what to do when a dispute or penalty arises. Courses build on each other, so a team can start with the essentials and progress to advanced and management-level training.
Every course is taught by an experienced customs practitioner who works through real scenarios rather than reading out legislation. Delegates leave knowing what to check, what to ask and when to escalate.
