About Logtrain
Since 2015 Logtrain International has trained importers, exporters, clearing agents, freight forwarders and logistics teams in customs compliance and international trade.
Logtrain is a South African provider of practical customs, import, export and freight training, covering SARS compliance, SAD 500 declarations, bonded warehouses, Incoterms 2020 and cross-border freight, live online or in-house across Africa.

Practical training for people who move goods
Logtrain was built on a simple idea: customs and trade training should be practical. Our courses are designed around the procedures, documents and decisions that importers, exporters, clearing agents and forwarders deal with every day, so delegates can apply what they learn immediately.
We deliver live online over Zoom or Microsoft Teams in half-day sessions, which keeps teams operational and lets colleagues in different cities and countries train together. For larger teams, we run closed-group in-house programmes tailored to the organisation.
Logtrain was founded in 2015 by Colin Doyle and is based in Cape Town. Today our small specialist team, with Trevor Michael as Head of Training and Che-lyn Gordon as Training Coordinator, trains import, export, clearing and freight teams across South Africa, the SADC region and East Africa.

How we teach
Live, not recorded
Every session is facilitated in real time, so delegates can ask about their own shipments. There are no pre-recorded videos: questions are answered on the spot by the facilitator who runs every workshop.
Built on real procedures
Real documents and scenarios from South African and African trade. Delegates work through the declarations, vouchers of correction and supporting documents they handle at work, based on SARS procedures.
A clear learning path
Courses build on each other, from essentials to management level. Most teams start with Customs Compliance Essentials or Export & Import Procedures, then move on to advanced, specialist or management courses.
Half-day sessions
Teams train in the morning and stay operational for the rest of the day. Sessions run from 08h30 to 12h30. Longer courses are split into two half-day sessions instead of a full day away from work.
Meet the team
A small, specialist team: one founder, one expert facilitator who runs every workshop and one coordinator who looks after your booking from start to finish.
