Bonded warehouse training on managing and controlling customs and excise warehouses and rebate stores, from licensing and record keeping to bills of entry and vouchers of correction.
About this course
Operating a bonded store or bonded warehouse demands specialist expertise. When procedures are not applied correctly, importers face significant financial risk through penalties for non-conformance with SARS customs legislation. Many errors go unnoticed until SARS finds them.
This workshop gives bond store management and staff the knowledge and practical insight to operate with confidence, achieve full compliance and avoid costly customs breaches. It highlights recent changes in the SARS customs environment and the typical errors to avoid.

- Module 1: Customs legislation — the Customs Control Act 31 of 2014 and Customs Duty Act 30 of 2014: chapters, schedules, important sections and rules
- Module 2: Bills of entry for customs procedures — SAD500, 501, 502, 504, 505, 506, 507, 514, 601, 604, 611 and 614
- Module 3: Framing in-bond and ex-warehouse bills of entry — legal provisions for removing goods in bond, removal in bond direct and in transit and the conditions imposed
- Module 4: Warehousing and ex-warehousing bills of entry — placing goods in and removing them from a licensed customs and excise storage warehouse
- Module 5: Documents — forwarding instructions, SAD500, SAD501, SAD505, SAD507, SAD554, SAD601, SAD604 and the bond book
